Join The Legacy of Henna in Self-Celebration
Henna has long been a symbol of beauty, empowerment, and self-expression. Even Cleopatra, one of the first with Henna and history’s most iconic queens, adorned herself with henna as a form of self-care and regality. While many cultures use henna for special occasions, in our culture, we embrace it as a celebration of self—because we are the celebration. We are regal, we are powerful, and we deserve to show up like royalty. Adorn yourself with intention, embrace your beauty, and wear your henna as a crown.
FAQ
FAQ
1. How long does henna last?
Henna stains typically last 1-2 weeks, depending on skin type, body placement, and aftercare. The better you care for your design, the longer it will last!
2. What’s the difference between traditional red henna and jagua gel?
Traditional Red Henna: Made from the leaves of the henna plant, it stains the skin a reddish-brown to deep burgundy color.
Jagua Gel: Derived from the jagua fruit, it stains dark blue-black, mimicking the look of a tattoo.
3. How long does it take for the stain to develop?
Henna: Starts light orange and deepens to rich red/brown over 24-48 hours.
Jagua Gel: Appears clear at first and oxidizes to dark blue/black over 24-48 hours.
4. How do I care for my henna or jagua design?
Leave the paste on for at least 4-8 hours (or overnight with taping).
Avoid water for the first 24 hours after removal.
Apply natural oils (coconut, shea, or olive) to keep the stain vibrant.
Exfoliation, chlorine, and excessive washing will fade the stain faster.
5. Can I sleep in my henna?
Yes, but only with my nighttime taping service! Without proper protection, the henna or jagua can transfer to other parts of your body, causing unwanted stains. This is especially true for jagua, which stains instantly upon contact. With taping, your design stays secure and smudge-free while you sleep.
6. Does henna or jagua work on all skin tones?
Absolutely! Henna and jagua stain all skin tones beautifully. While henna shows up in deep red-brown hues, jagua provides a bold, dark blue-black stain, making it great for all complexions.
7. Is the application process safe?
Yes! I use 100% natural, plant-based henna and jagua, free of chemicals or additives. I never use "black henna," which contains harmful dyes.
8. How do I remove my henna or jagua stain faster?
If you need to lighten or remove your design:
Scrub gently with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda.
Use an exfoliating scrub or soak in warm, soapy water.
Avoid harsh removal methods that can irritate your skin.
9. Can I book a private session or event?
Yes! I offer private henna sessions, henna crowns, maternity designs, and henna parties. Visit www.parissamone.com or contact me at 443-876-1476 for booking inquiries.
